SWEETWATER SHELTER

“This painting is inspired by the beautiful Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Gainesville
where you often see photographers out each day taking advantage of the prolific
wildlife including birds, wild horses, buffalo, and alligators. Summer breeding time
is perfect for catching that great shot of a heron or the many other species of birds
in the park. The shelters provide shade from the harsh summer sun and to
partially conceal the photographers. I used a grid system from my own photos to
create this painting and added the abstract areas and textures for visual interest.”
